Ko Dong-bin “Faze, I will do better in the future”

Gen.G coach Koh Dong-bin said that despite the loss against T1, “there are parts that are satisfying.”

Gen.G lost 0-2 to T1 on the first day of the 2023 LoL Champions Korea (LCK) spring season regular league held at the LCK Arena in Jongno-gu, Seoul on the 18th. In the first set, he failed to keep the lead even though he succeeded in a bottom dive in the early stages and took the lead. In the second set, rookie Kim “Faze” Soo-hwan (Jerry), who made his debut match, was caught in succession by Lee “Faker” Sang-hyeok (Lisandra).

Even though the team lost, coach Goh visited the press room with a smile on his face as if he had something to gain. He opened his mouth, saying, "It's very unfortunate that we lost even though (the players) did better in the first half than we expected, but the performance came out to some extent."

He cited widening the growth gap as the point the team needs to make up for. “There was an advantageous situation in the early and mid-half,” Koh said, reflecting on the game.

Regarding Kim Soo-hwan, who made his debut that day, he showed confidence, saying, “I will do better in the future.” Coach Goh said, “The T1 we faced today are more likely to win. It is a good team,” he said. “I think (Kim Soo-hwan) did well without being pushed in the line. I think I took a test today. Considering the laning match, I expect (Kim Soo-hwan) to do well in the future.”
